Teen Breathe – Issue 9

Teen Breathe issue 9

Tomorrow, next week, next month: it’s easy to put off for another day a task that, well, just doesn’t appeal that much or seems so daunting that even thinking about it can make you feel ill. The trouble is, delaying jobs – AKA procrastinating – tends to make them even less attractive and a lot more stressful.

There are ways to make things easier (Teen Breathe’s favourite is breaking them down into smaller, more manageable chunks). But it’s just as important to open up about any underlying or additional worries you might have, be they fears about revising for mock exams or confusion because a friend’s blanked you.

A parent or guardian isn’t always the go-to choice. They might appear to be on a totally different wavelength or be really busy with work and seem pretty stressed themselves. This doesn’t, however, stop them wanting to be there for you.

So, choose a quiet moment and maybe tell them you’d appreciate their opinion. They’ll love it (honestly) – and there’s a good chance they’ll be able to suggest some fresh ideas. Just try not to put it off for too long.

I have just obtained a copy of issue 10 to take to my granddaughter in France in mid February and see that issue 11 is not out until 12th March. I discovered this amazing magazine last year and now when I go out to visit my granddaughters (now aged 12 and 14) I like to take a couple of issues with me for them to share and swap. This is an unplanned visit otherwise I would have thought of getting another copy sooner. Is there any chance I could get a back copy of issue 9 please. I am so thrilled to be able to take them something sensible, very informative and just a fabulous find to accommodate now both ages and with the firm approval of their Mum. Gone are the days of trying to find something that doesn’t have a load of glitzy rubbish to fill their heads with. Such big fans.

    Look forward to your reply.
